Welcome to Look4Career (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website located at https://www.look4career.ca (the “Site”), our services, features, content, and tools (collectively, the “Services”), including Resume AI, Cover Letter AI, Interview AI, and other related platforms.

Please read these Terms carefully. By using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Your use of our Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. If you do not agree, do not use our Services.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use Look4Career. By using our Services, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

2. Use of Services

  • In any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
  • To infringe on intellectual property rights.
  • To reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Services.
  • To attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or networks.

3. Account Registration

  • Provide accurate and complete information.
  • Keep your login credentials confidential.
  • Notify us immediately of unauthorized use of your account.

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if we suspect misuse or violation of these Terms.

4. Token System

  • Are non-refundable.
  • Have no cash value.
  • Are subject to change at any time with or without notice.
  • Tokens do not expire under normal operation but may be voided without refund if we discontinue the Services or close your account due to Terms violations.

5. Intellectual Property

  • All content, trademarks, and technologies provided by Look4Career are our property or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Services.
  • Use our name or trademarks without written permission.

You retain ownership of any content you upload (e.g., resumes), but you grant us a non-exclusive license to use that content to provide the Services. We do not use your personal data (e.g., resumes or cover letters) to train any AI models without your explicit consent.

6. Third-Party Services

  • We use third-party vendors (e.g., OpenAI, Supabase, Stripe) to provide core functionality. These services are subject to their own terms.
  • We are not responsible for third-party actions or content.

7. Limitations of AI Services

  • Our AI tools are designed to assist with job preparation but do not guarantee employment outcomes.
  • All AI-generated content is for informational purposes only.
  • Final decisions on resume content, interview preparation, and application strategy are your responsibility.

8. User Conduct

  • Upload harmful or misleading content.
  • Use our platform to harass or harm others.
  • Resell or commercially exploit our Services without our permission.

We reserve the right to remove content or terminate accounts violating these rules.

9. Subscription & Billing (if applicable)

  • Some services may be available through a paid plan. You agree to pay all fees associated with your plan.
  • Provide current billing info.
  • Understand that failure to pay may result in suspension or termination.
  • We use Stripe for payment processing. Their privacy policy applies to your payment information.

10. Beta Features

From time to time, we may offer beta features that are still under development. These features may not work as expected and are provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind.

11. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

Any disputes arising under these Terms will first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, both parties agree to submit the matter to binding arbitration in Vancouver, British Columbia.

12. Termination & Account Deletion

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, for any reason, including violations of these Terms.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us or using your account settings.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our Services are provided “as-is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Services will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that results from using the Services will meet your expectations.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Look4Career will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, loss of data, income, or opportunities. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid to us (if any) in the past 12 months.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Look4Career harmless from any claims arising out of your use of the Services or your violation of these Terms or any laws.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you. Continued use of the Services means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
